I’m glad you went! I’ve seen him twice at the 02, a venue I hate, but he conquered it both times. I favour small shows, but there’s something about the way he moves a larger crowd that adds to it.
Music about grief and mortality (and resilience) is a hard sell, but he sells it.
So damn beautiful! And yes, St Nick should be at a pulpit with light flooding through the stained glass of a cathedral like the blood of the lamb. Maybe Grace cathedral on his next SF visit!

I saw Nick & the band a few days before in Portland - and had similar thoughts of the show as revival meeting. Nourishing in many ways.
