very acute assessment of PJ's performance. I saw her last week up here in Seattle. the show was so powerful, her band deserves a lot of credit. I feel she is the only performer that has matured and evolved since emerging in the 90's.

Yes Gina, I was Music Director there in the 80's. I remember you and your friend (Elizabeth?) very well. you were two of the better souls up there.

I thought I recognized your name! Isabelle and I are still good friends. At the time we were known on air as Divine Discontent and Jane From Occupied Europe.

oh yes, Isabelle Sikes. I remember her fondly; we tried a morning show duo for a while. I don't believe it lasted very long. I was very preoccupied then, not very responsible I will admit. I recall having big discussions with you, we would solve all the problems thru rock n roll. Congratulations on your work, you are someone who made it on her own terms.

Second week in a row that I'm reading your great writing about a show in the Bay Area on the day I'm seeing the show in LA.

Thanks for bringing PJ Harvey's music to my attention. To have never heard even one of her songs until now feels like a major oversight. I dug in the past month and listened to a number of her songs. I also watched a few videos and read some summaries of her career. What a fine songwriter and charismatic performer!
