yes I was in UK on same trip but didnt attend; maybe that was when I went on a trip to the lake district with the "older" cousins? Regardless, the Beatles! Huge part of our childhood & identity. I could blather on at length but it all comes down to: a world with the beatles was just a better place

The Premier of YS was at the London Pavilion in Piccadilly Circus on 17 July '68 (https://bestclassicbands.com/yellow-submarine-premiere-7-17-1555/) . The highlight of the trip, for me, was the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch on Saturday, July 20, 1968 (you didn't go). Thus we had to have attended the movie right around the time of the premiere.

It seems unlikely that we would have had tickets to the premiere - especially given how many of us went...but I like to think that we were on the guest list.

I'm confident it wasn't the premiere, even I would have recalled the ruckus. But I'm sure it was soon after, we must have clamored like maniacs until parents caved in.

I spend most of my time in Liverpool.. still spend time in London my birthplace..I’m surrounded by their childhood homes, schools, meeting places etc. I even set up a campaign to save a house Ringo grew up in to be saved from demolition. It worked.. still standing!!
